The Edwina M. Gesler Music Therapy Grant
The Edwina M. Gesler Music Therapy Grant, In memory of Pr. Gesler’s wife who loved and taught music for many years.
These grants are targeted for startup programs or expansion projects within non-profit educational and home- and community-based service organizations using musical experiences as a means of patient communication and expression in clinical work, education programs, and community outreach initiatives that may stimulate emotional, cognitive, motor, social, and creative development in the patient in order to enhance or restore their functional abilities.
These grants may be applied for by individuals, or be made by qualified non-profit organizations on behalf of an individual, that are seeking additional licensing or certifications in Music Therapy that have been, or are currently, working in non-profit organizations focusing on the elderly.
